Germany- second exhibition SAKKATEN of the European branch.
...... It has come to an end with great success, the SAKKATEN exhibition,
which was opened in the middle of the international congress of the
municipality...
.....As for the presentation of the works, there were 46 settings, 42 of
which belonged to the representatives of the European branch and the
other 4 belonging to the Japanese Masters.
Those works were set for presentation with great harmony and were so
well-proportioned that you could see the hand of an excellent
organizational mind, especially in the organization of the exhibitional
space.
On days 6 and 7 three instructors of the Japanese Association (Nogami,
Suzuki, Imai) held practice lessons, starting in the morning, which
raised enthusiasm in the audience. Moreover, the members of the European
branch enlivened the congress working side by side with the Japanese
masters every day.
On day 8... a meeting was held among the members of the central office
and the members of the branch offices in which the works and the tokoma
of the European participants presented in the exhibition were evaluated.
During the meeting many interesting exchanges of ideas had occurred.
The meeting ended with a great expectation of hope for the future thanks
to the high level of the European works displayed
Some of them were judged of medium level in comparison with the works
which are often showed in KOKUFU in Japan.
