Workshop with Master Tomio Yamada. Subject: “ How to set up a tokonoma”
Demonstration by Master Tomio Yamada and Master Norio Nagayama. Subject:”the realization and the use of calligraphy in accordance with bonsai in the traditional setting of tokonoma” (see article)

SEMINAR WIH HIDEO SUZUKI: “ Review a bonsai”
Participation is reserved to those who have a bonsai in an advanced working process.
The Master will help the students to improve their bonsais through a “constructive critic” on the work done and he will also help them to plan a program for the future meetings.
The seminar is theoretical; we will only speak about the tree, we won’t work on it.

SEMINAR WITH TOMIO YAMADA
Subject: ”Tokonoma setting”
Master Yamada, who has been responsible for the set up in Takagi museum in Japan, will comment on the displayed exhibitions, giving advice for improvement. The settings will be released in a tokonoma made available by the organization.You’ll be using a bonsai or a suiseki with a proper desk ,a plant (“accent plant”) a scroll with a painting or a calligraphy and all necessary objects.
Tokonoma will be set on a desk with a base and it will measure cm 190x90 , height cm 80 from the floor.
The workshop is reserved to those who already have knowledge in setting a tokonoma.
As the materials for the setting must be brought by the participants we advise you to prepare them in advance.
